A QA Test Lead / Team Leader experienced in Agile and automated testing is wanted by one of the worlds top financial organisations, based in London's square mile, to lead the testing of desktop, web, mobile and tablet applications.

As one of the QA Team Leaders responsible for looking after 70+ quality assurance staff and reporting directly to the Head of QA, you will be expected to take ownership of the coordination and management of up to 10 Test Analysts. You will lead automated (Selenium) and manual in sprint and regression testing across various global software projects and product teams. Experience of team management and defect management is a pre-requisite.

Following Agile Scrum principles, you will work closely with the PMO, software development and QA teams (onshore and offshore) along with IT resources and key stakeholders across the company.

Assist the QA Manager with implementing the strategic direction for the quality department including process improvement and the hiring, training and mentoring of testing staff.

The successful candidate will currently lead a team of test analysts and have experience of managing test automation projects including test planning, estimation, prioritisation, risk based testing and resourcing. A background of impact analysis, test scope/coverage management, writing acceptance criteria, test scripts and creating regression test suites is essential.

Experience of Continuous Integration with Jenkins, version control tools SVN / GIT and JUnit/NUnit/TestNG test frameworks will be a distinct advantage. A strong educational background to degree level with industry recognised testing certifications (ISEB/ISQTB) is also expected.

We will consider a Senior QA Test Analyst / Test Lead, who has all of the technical skills and who currently gets involved with recruitment of new staff and the associated day to day training, mentoring, development plans and reviews etc, but does not have the job title of Team Leader / Manager.

Exposure to the financial sector, even from a personal background in share trading or spread betting will be a distinct advantage.
