Our client believes that good homes make for better lives.

Inspired by their founder, they are a not-for-profit organisation providing thousands of people with good-quality affordable homes in inner London. They believe in the power of well-planned, well-managed housing to make a difference.

They aim to build happier lives and resilient communities by providing a responsive, supportive and effective service to all residents, irrespective of tenure, with staff committed to integrated working within and across teams to deliver on resident priorities.

They currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Home Ownership Services Officer. In this role you will provide a high quality property management experience to shared owners, leaseholders, intermediate rent and market rent properties. You will be the key contact for residents and will progress a range of casework including neighbour disputes, breaches of leases / tenancy agreements, approval and monitoring of subletting requests and encouraging resident involvement.

In addition to these duties you will ensure properties are visited regularly, ensuring services are provided to a high standard, reporting issues quickly and keeping residents informed. You will also be responsible for monitoring services provided by third party managing agents and managing statutory consultation requirements. You will play a pivotal role in developing and improving the services they provide, to meet the expectations of their residents.

To succeed you’ll be a self-motivated and customer focused individual, experienced in managing leasehold and shared ownership property in a social housing or private managed agent environment. You will be committed to improving services in response to customer needs, have experience of managing contractor performance and service delivery and possess an excellent understanding of home ownership issues and the challenges facing homeowners.

You will be a team player, with good interpersonal, analytical and written skills who is comfortable with managing a demanding workload. You will have a flexible approach to working outside core hours including some occasional evening and weekend working.
