Working for a public sector organisation in Newcastle Business Park you'll be an essential part of a small, dedicated finance team.

We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Officer to fulfil this role, which will include;

* Raising and management of Purchase Orders
* Using a bespoke financial management system
* Receiving and receipting of supplier invoices
* Purchasing of goods and services
* Preparation of regular and ad hoc reports as requested by both Internal and external stakeholders
* Provide advice to teams within the business on the appropriate purchasing route
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve ad hoc queries
* Daily use of the Microsoft Office package and internal systems

To success in this role, you will;

* Possess excellent IT skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office package, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word
* Possess strong communication skills
* Be flexible, adaptable and able to work proactively using your own initiative

Please note that previous experience of using a financial management system would be highly advantageous, although not essential.

This is a full time temporary role with an expected duration of 4 months initially, and we are looking for the successful candidate to start on the 24th July
