Role Summary

To support their exciting growth plans, a new position has been created within the Engineering Team. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, time-served Engineer to apply their skills, knowledge and experience to new challenges in a different organisation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your main responsibility will to support the introduction of new products, processes, manufacturing techniques and equipment into the business. This is a wide and varied role and will involve contact with internal and external stakeholders therefore you must be proactive, good with people and open to occassional travel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and introduce new products, processes, manufacturing techniques and equipment into the business

• Design, develop and test tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods

• Engineering project management

• Implement lean processes

• Develop and collect data to measure the effectiveness of processes

• Improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality, improvement and efficiency

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Competencies

• Engineering degree with theoretical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

• Extensive practical experience of being involved in taking a process &/or product involving hydraulics and pneumatics from development and into production

• Project Management experience - concept to commissioning

• Able to analyse manufacturing processes and define and implement solutions for improvement

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

• Fluency in English

• Strong communication skills - written and verbal

• Strong personal organisational skills - able to prioritise activities and manage deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Motivated with a proactive approach

• Results driven and combined with a customer focused attitude

• Ability to work in a team and effectively build relationships

• Positive attitude towards working in a changing environment

• A meticulous attention to detail
