1st Line Support Analyst – Swindon, Wiltshire – £18,000-£23,000

My Swindon based client are looking to recruit an enthusiastic member of staff to join their service desk team in a 1st line support capacity.

Having had some previous experience of working in an IT support role, you will come into this position and be the first point of contact for all phone calls, emails and tickets that the service desk receive. These will be from internal and external staff and customers. You will be required to log all calls and resolve issues where possible – where this isn’t then you will need to escalate to the appropriate team.

As well as having excellent customer service skills, you will have a good basic understanding of windows and Microsoft applications and also be prepared to fix printer, keyboard, monitor and mouse faults in a timely manner. The role will also require you to monitor the service desk and report to senior stakeholders each month on the stats that you have gathers, like around the call trends for example.

This is an excellent way for someone to kick start their IT career in a fantastic team within a large organisation where there is plenty of opportunity to progress.
