Who you’ll work for

Due to recent growth, the employer is looking to take on an IT, Software & Web Development apprentice. Reporting to the Head of IT & Data Services, you will work as part of a small, conscientious & tightly-knit team that strives towards delivering proactive business solutions to their colleagues across all departments of the business.

As an IT Software Development Apprentice, your job includes:
As well as spending time developing bespoke/custom applications and maintaining existing systems, you will also work closely with colleagues across the business in order to assist them with any 1st Line support queries.

• Develop bespoke/custom applications as requested by Head of IT.
• Be the nominated onsite IT person for any requests from IT provider.
• Maintain existing systems
• Work closely with colleagues across the business in order to assist them with any 1st Line IT hardware support issues.
• Develop close relationships with external managed IT and CRM providers in order to ensure
that the business is meeting its key SLA’s for colleagues and the businesses clients & partners
• Assist the Head of IT with any reasonable task or request and you may also be expected to work
flexible hours (on occasion).
• Be aware of IT user feedback and escalate support
issues to IT provider.

What experience and skills do I need?
You’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science.
You’ll also need 2 or more A Levels, 4 or more AS levels, BTEC National Diploma at Level 3, BTEC National Certificate at Level 3 or Advanced Apprenticeship

By working hard and demonstrating your ability, drive and commitment throughout your 2 year apprenticeship scheme, upon completion you will be offered a permanent contract ensuring you have further opportunities to continue growing within this exciting organisation
