Senior Analyst required to working in the financial accounting & reporting team within a leading, rapidly expanding retail business. Responsible for all aspects of supply chain costs & warehousing costs, you will partner with other areas of finance including AP, Commercial Finance, Finance Systems as well as the wider business.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the review, challenging and continuous improvement of robust and accurate balance sheet reconciliations for all supply chain accounts
  • Ownership of accounting for all supply chain costs and corresponding financial entries, including ability to provide high level commentary to senior management team on a monthly basis
  • Develop reporting and analysis and challenge business stakeholders on distribution costs and warehousing costs affecting the Group's financial performance
  • Accountable for ensuring all supply chain processes, policies and control risks are fully documented, analysed, reported to management and continually
  • Work with Financial Systems, Commercial Finance and Supply Chain to understand any financial accounting implications in relation to cost controls, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, data integrity of supply chain information etc.
  • Develop and communicate business reporting of supply chain related key performance indicators
  • Ensure appropriate and robust financial control environment on all supply chain related areas, spanning from the posting of journals to assisting with supporting documentation for the external audit
  • Ensure financial controls, processes and risks are documented for all supply chain related areas and regularly updated to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business
  • Review and challenge of robust and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations to an auditable standard
  • Assist in the delivery of interim and year-end audit information for external auditors as well as ad-hoc internal audits as required
  • Lead the Supply Chain sub-team to deliver objectives aligned with both Finance and company goals, including excellent stakeholder management with the Supply Chain teams

Who we're looking for:

  • Experienced supply chain accountant - preferably qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous retail experience - preferably online
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS accounting standards and practical application
  • Experience of carrying out or providing information for external and internal audits
