Your new company
You will be working in a renovated house that has been running for just shy of 30 years and has built a fantastic reputation within the local community. Its aim is to provide a high quality of care and learning for the children in a safe learning environment. The nursery has a large garden space with a variety of resources and equipment for the children to explore in the rain or shine. The staff has their own separate staff room upstairs along with a quiet working space to complete learning diaries and paperwork.
Your new role

You will need to supervise the unit, model good practise and constructive approaches for the rest of the team. You will work as a member of the senior staff team to improve service quality and continuously develop policy and practice in the setting. You will need to develop your own leadership and management abilities and undertake all line management responsibilities for unit staff. You will need to assess development areas for the room, formulate action plans and implement and record progress.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be expected to be able to come into the toddler room and get stuck in straight away therefore the passion for this age group is an absolute must. Your previous experience working as a room leader, ideally the toddlers, is very desirable. You will need to be level 3 qualified however an Early Years degree or high level qualification is advantageous. You will need to be able to demonstrate leadership skills for a similar size team.
What you'll get in return
You'll be offered up to £18,200 as an annual salary which will be based on your experience and performance at interview. You'll be given a generous holiday allowance and a pension scheme to enrol in. You'll join a well-established, culturally diverse team where you can learn from their experience but also have the opportunity to inject your creativity and ideas into the nursery.
