** SEN Maths Teacher - Alternative Provision for Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (BESD/SEBD) - September Start - Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) - Hackney - Inner London **

Maths Teacher required for Alternative Provision in London Borough of Hackney catering for 11-16 year olds. The role is to start in September on a permanent basis, interviews will be taking place over the next couple of weeks.

Students at the provision have been excluded from school due to presenting with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) but they are all academically bright and are looking to achieve A-C grade in GCSE. We are looking for a confident Maths Teacher to join this dynamic teaching environment where all staff work together to ensure consistent behaviour management strategies across the provision. Relationships between teachers and students are good, consequently attendance of the students is very high compared to similar provisions.

Applicants for this role must have experience as a KS3 and KS4 Maths teacher and have the ability to use innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience of the pupils, with a view to either reintegrating them back into mainstream education or fulfilling their potential or to go on and gain good GCSE grade within the provision.

As a Maths Teacher at the provision you will be teaching in classes of between 5 and 8 pupils. Ideally you should have previous experience working with emotional and behavioural difficulties with a special school or PRU/Alternative Provision, but a strong mainstream teacher will be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom presence and have a good career record in calming students that can present with challenges in the classroom. You should also be a keen team-player,

If this SEN Maths Teacher role sounds interesting for September, please send your CV immediately. Please be aware that you should be a qualified teacher holding QTS or QTLS and looking for a long term/permanent role in an alternative provision from September. If your qualifications and experience fit the criteria we are looking for then we will be in touch to discuss the role in detail.
