Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking for a change of direction in the care sector?

We provide support for people with Learning Disabilities & Autism spectrum conditions and are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

* To Deputise for the Registered Manager and be responsible for the operational management of the Supported Living & Domiciliary Care Services in their absence.
* To commit to Care Services (MK) CIC aims, objectives and values.
* Engage and facilitate people with learning disabilities & autism to enhance and promote their independence and quality of life.
* To use SPELL consistently to create structure, predictability and bring about positive engagement.
* Using a person-centred approach and appropriate augmented communication tools, create positive experiences, opportunities and develop service users.
* To maintain service and practice in accordance with agreed values, policies procedures and quality assurance standards.
* Ensure the service users are receiving the highest standards of professional support experiencing life opportunities helping to promote growth and independence as identified in individuals person centred plans
* Display a positive and professional approach to your work ethics and contribute to the wider needs of the organisation and its stakeholders.
* To support Service Users in their own homes and in the community through person centred approaches
* To provide flexible and supportive services to maximise Service User independence
* To work within the context of organisational policies and procedures
* To maintain confidentiality at all times
* To work in partnership with Service users, the team, the organisation and the wider community
* To promote equality and diversity within the service and the wider community
* Support Service Users to take control of their lives and to maximise their inclusion and participation in the community according to their needs, wishes and preferences.
* To support Service Users to access a range of opportunities and experiences, either from their own home or the wider community.
* To support Service Users to monitor their health and well-being
* Attend staff meetings and supervision meetings and contribute to the promotion of good practice across our service

Care | Home Care | Domiciliary | Deputy Manager | Carer | Social Care

Essential Criteria:

* Health & Social Care Level 3 -Essential (ILM5 in Care and Management or equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years experience working with people with learning difficulties, autism and challenging behaviour within Residential or Supported Living services (2 years in a senior post)
* Excellent understanding of supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities & Autism
* Excellent understanding of person centred planning and personalisation
* Excellent understanding of positive behaviour support and experience of working with people whose behaviour may be described as challenging.
* Excellent understanding of CQC registration requirements and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety
* Excellent understanding of all other relevant legislation e.g. Safeguarding, Riddor, Health and Safety at Work Act
* Experience of supervising staff, and undertaking supervisions, probations and appraisals
* Understanding of equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice
