Our Client are a PLC operating throughout the UK & Mainland Europe offering stocktaking solutions to the pharmacy & retail sectors, including warehouse & distribution, supermarkets and supply chain. They are looking for an applicant to coordinate the service provided to the retail sector.

Role: Retail Client Project Manager
Location: Harlow
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + Car + Company Phone + Laptop

Key Responsibilities
1. Negotiate / arrange for implementation of count schedules for a leading high street retail client.
2. For new accounts work with the Sales department to define the work methodology for the count. For larger accounts the integration would be directly project-managed.
3. In conjunction with the Operations department adapt and improve the methodology for nominated existing accounts, for the mutual benefit of us and the clients.
4. Actively promote communication to develop any operational improvement opportunities identified on site. Exploit every opportunity to improve service, increase business and drive cost-effectiveness.
5. Coordinate responses to day-to-day technical queries from clients, liaising with IT Helpdesk and analysing data to provide a response as appropriate.
6. Visit counts to provide quality assurance testing. Provide feedback to all relevant departments and the client, as appropriate.
7. Manage the agreement of IT specifications. The initial specification to be created by Sales and / or the Client Project Manager and testing of the specification to be carried out by Regional Operations Managers; both elements to be managed and co-ordinated by the Client Project Manager
8. The Client Project Manager takes responsibility for the management of key accounts, ensuring departmental input whenever necessary.
9. Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients, regular review meetings to take place between the Client Project Manager and the client contacts; to minute and agree action plans for all meetings.
10. To report on the service standard and any KPI’s set out in the contract, to then prompt action where necessary to ensure our obligations are fulfilled.
11. To hold meetings at pre-determined intervals with clients to measure performance against agreed KPI’s, providing summaries internally and to the client.
12. To complete company administration and reports on time to the agreed standard.
13. To be responsible for responding to any tenders or supplementary work issued by the client
14. To introduce 12 month minimum contract lengths but with the intention of securing a longer term period.
15. To make telephone calls to promote Company and generate new business enquiries.
16. To work in conjunction with the marketing department to provide input for mail shots, case studies and other promotional material.

Accountable for
1. Turnover against budget per month, per allocated client
2. Service Standard Reporting – the achievement of agreed service standards as agreed e.g. provision of reports on time, provision of specified number of staff etc. It is the responsibility of the Client Project Manager to report on and promote actions to address service failures and opportunities for improvement.
3. Key Account retention.
4. Client relationships.
5. Securing long-term contracts.

Skills and experience

• Proven technical and operational knowledge of stocktaking would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills combined with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Ability to project-manage and coordinate internal resources.
• Experience in tender writing and contract negotiation is an advantage.
• Computer literacy and the ability to data-analyse to resolve technical queries.
• Hold clean driving licence
