Contracts Manager | Healthcare & Education | SE London & Kent

£60k to £70k plus good package

My client is a large main contractor who have had a turnover of £30m for the past 3 years. They cover numerous sectors taking on projects ranging from £150k to £12m. An established company with a good pipeline they require a Contracts Manager to cover 2 to 3 projects at any one time. You will be spending 50% of your time in their offices and the remainder visiting sites. This role would suit a Project Manager looking to take the next step up in their career.

A Contracts Manager applying for this position will have experience in refurbishment and new build projects, working under both traditional or design & build schemes. You support the various teams in London with on-going design projects within the healthcare or education sectors and work with the Site Manager and Quantity Surveyors to ensure that all contractual aspects of the contracts are managed in accordance with the agreed Terms and Conditions of the NEC3/JCT.

Duties would be traditional of a Contracts Manager role and to oversee 2 to 3 projects with values averaging £500k to £4m. A construction education background is preferable, either Higher Education or collage qualified. The location of the projects would suit someone from the SE London or Kent area. They are looking to bring someone on and advance them through the company once experience grows. This would also suit a Contracts Manager early in their career looking to grow as the business does.
