We are looking for a Senior Architect to join our Chief Information Office (CIO) and play a key role within the Design, Transition and Assurance pillar within CIO and the wider DIO. The role requires in-depth technical knowledge of a broad range of information technology systems, concepts and design methodologies.

The job requires knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep with experience of senior architecture or technology positions within enterprise environments in both cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Leading, managing and coaching a number of cross functional teams
- Enabling, supporting and guiding the Architecture, Design, Test and Release functions
- Understand the DIO ‘Business’ to evaluate the relevance of new technology along and align strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Contributing to the DIO IT strategy and Information Technology (IT) governance processes

Essential requirements of the role will include:
- Experience of IT architecture design within an enterprise environment
- Experience of developing software solutions in cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments
- Experience of developing and/or assuring solutions in complex technical security domains
- Experience of using agile software development methodologies.
