As an IT Support Network Engineer, your job includes:
Supporting users with windows 7 & 10 in offices and field based conditions, using a variety of applications like MS office 13/16, Sharepoint 2013/16, Dynamics CRM, Acrobat and Autocad.
Networking will cover office based Ethernet, 3 & 4G, satellite comms and Microwave.
Mobile devices support including smart phones and tablets.
Printing support- assisting with field based printers and plotters, installation of device setting up drivers, basic maintenance.
Supporting the VOIP hosted phone system, that spans offices and home users.
Windows 2012/R2 Active Directory – Password resets, user creation, permissions changes.
Exchange 2013- create new mailbox, delegate permissions, change mailbox flow.
Options to grow into:
Taking on more of the Active Directory management and maintenance
Taking on more of the exchange server management, Capacity planning and maintenance.
Taking on more of the telecoms management and day to day deploying of telecoms solutions within the business.
Taking on the Office 365 management for both internal and external site use.
What skills and experience do I need?
You’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science.
Candidates applying for this role will need to have previous relevant experience with a mature manner. Although candidates will have full support the role will require some lone working so you will need to be pro-active and motivated to work on your own.
**Please note - as this is a level 4 apprenticeship, we can't progress candidates forward if they hold any of the following qualifications: Undergraduate / Masters Degree, HND / HNC or Certificates of Higher Education.**
