Membership Sales Executive - Golf - Bristol, BS10


You will be working within the membership department and driving sales forward for the club via a telesales activity, site tours, prospecting, open days, events etc. You will also be responsible for working with the General Managers & Central Marketing Team on creating marketing, initiatives, sales strategies and implementing them. You will be responsible for member's retention as well as sales and supporting fellow team members to grow our business.

The role:

  • Drive membership sales for the golf club
  • Drive Corporate Day bookings into the business
  • Drive the sales process for corporate memberships
  • Monitoring and evaluating new membership growth and reporting to the General Manager and the group sales team any variances to target
  • Working closely with the club management team to engage with customers to create a warm and hospitable environment that encourages individuals to visit again
  • To gain referrals
  • Working to set targets and KPIs
  • Converting a targeted percentage of all outbound telephone calls to appointment and subsequent appointments to new members
  • Generation of referrals from all new members that play in the clubs
  • Being pro-active in devising marketing campaigns
  • Retention strategies, monitor and drive
  • Actively increasing member retention by providing after sales care & follow up calls to all players/ members
  • Responsible for sourcing new leads & proactive database management
  • Ensuring that all customers receive accurate information by making sure that any marketing promotions to new members are effectively communicated to all staff across the business
  • Monitor club membership and take action to ensure membership profile (mix) is on line with targets
  • Maintain a full operating knowledge of the Club's membership systems, including joining fees, subscriptions, direct debits, cancellation policy, Club services and rules
  • Plan sales rotas to maximise efficiency. This must ensure coverage at key trading periods including evenings & weekends
  • Any other duties that may be required by the Management of the Company

The package:

  • Paying up to £22,000 starting salary
  • Uncapped OTE (approx 5k in year one)
  • Free golf membership and other facilities
  • 40 hours per week - you can set your own hours but would need to include some evenings and weekends to suit the needs of the business
