Reed Education in Bournemouth are excited to be recruiting for an experienced and talented SEN Teacher (KS 3/4) on behalf of this outstanding and inspirational academy based in the Bournemouth and Christchurch area on a long term or permanent basis. With a history of excellence and a number of very successful Ofsted inspections this academy is committed to proving the best possible education and outcomes for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Heath needs. 

As a class teacher you would be expected to provide leadership in the classroom to both pupils and staff setting clear expectations while creating an interactive and fun learning environment conducive to effective learning. Responsibilities include: 

* Find creative ways to encourage learning and build the rapport needed for students to progress and develop
* Set clear classroom expectations in line with the schools behaviour and safeguarding policies
* Remain calm and de-escalate potentially difficult situations whilst having the resilience to repeatedly start again in order to allow students to progress. 
* Use interpersonal and communication skills to find different ways to deliver information in ways that suit the students learning style and interests. 

The ideal candidate for this teaching post would suit someone with experience of teaching within a Secondary or Special Needs setting. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and a real passions for improving the outcomes for young people. You will need to have resilience and be committed to the over long term progression of students by celebrating an accumulation of small wins along the way.
