Our client is an established manufacturer of large scale pumping solutions to clients throughout the globe. They are currently looking for additional Fitters to help them through a busy period. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a fit for purpose and state of the art facility.
Job Role
The EHS & facilities managers' role is to manage the Environmental Health Safety & Security functions as well as lead continual improvement activities in ESH&S performance. The job will involve leading people/teams, business planning, continuous improvement as well as other duties.
- Providing EHS&S advice and support and enforcing any requirements/ procedures in areas you are responsible for
- Coordinate all facilities management and related projects including being accountable for contractor management activities
- Correlate Active Monitoring as appropriate including internal audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Correlate Reactive Monitoring as appropriate to investigate EHS & Security losses to prevent future losses and identify route cause
- Managing all building and plant maintenance activities to support site operational activities with an emphasis on planned and preventative maintenance activities
- Put in accident prevention and risk management strategies throughout the business aligning with UK EHS strategy
- Ensure both formal and informal consultations with employees on ESH is completed
- Making sure all records with regulatory requirements are up to date and all ESH training is performed in accordance with this
- Give monthly updates on department's status this includes KPI's and ensuring both internal and external reporting requirements are performed accurately and within the correct time frame
- Support lean initiatives
- Be responsible for your own safety and other employees safety while helping to develop and improve safety performance in your department, address any unsafe behaviours through positive reinforcement discussions
- Work with the site leadership to ensure the company complies with all legal and statutory duties in regards to Environmental, Safety & Health
- Ensure all risk assessments are completed and reviewed regularly for all processes and machines
-Act as a role model and set the standards that the company expect from all staff

- Chartered membership of IOSH with minimum of Level 5 H&S qualification
- NEBOSH General Certification in OH&S practice
- Manufacturing background
- Must have ability to complete priority tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent influencing, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate ethical values of honesty, integrity, quality, good citizenship, respect, fairness and accountability in day to day work and activities
