We are seeking a Network/IT Engineer Apprentice to work in our IT Team designing, installing & supporting local, wide & global area networks.

The successful candidate will be part of a team designing, installing, maintaining and supporting computer software and hardware, whether commercial or marine, within and between organisations. He/she will be self-motivated, have a can do attitude, be a clear communicator and comfortable dealing with customers.

Work will be based at our offices in Orpington, Kent although travel abroad will be required to install or support IT equipment on-board super yachts.

As an Apprentice IT Engineer, your role includes:
analysing and resolving faults and performance issues;
managing email, anti-spam and virus protection;
setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords;
ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers;
ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards;
providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence;
working closely with other departments/organisations and collaborating with other IT staff;
planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work;
promoting the Company’s best interests
What experience and skills do I need?
You’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science.
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn.
**Please note - as this is a level 4 apprenticeship, we can't progress candidates forward if they hold any of the following qualifications: Undergraduate / Masters Degree, HND / HNC or Certificates of Higher Education.**
