Direct Group provides end-to-end insurance services including everything from product development, sales and distribution and compliance through to claims validation and policy administration.

We have been providing specialist insurance solutions for over 20 years, and our long-term relationships with clients and their customers are built on trust and integrity.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Claims Handler to join our Niche Claims Department in Doncaster.

Main Duties Include:

• To provide telephone claims advice and assistance in a professional manner
• Responsible for the efficient handling of insurance claims and related product claims following standard procedures
• Communicating professionally with a variety of people including customers, insurers, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Ensure the accuracy of information recorded in the database
• Answer telephone line promptly and courteously
• Achieve service standards, company and contractual requirements
• Compose proficient letters
• Provide high quality and professional assistance when dealing with telephone calls and correspondence
• Identify and report any complaints received to a designated complaints handler
• Subscribe and maintain a happy team working environment
• General office duties as and when required

In addition: Adapt to the constantly changing requirements of the company/department and perform any additional tasks that may be required.

Qualifications required:

5 GCSEs Grade C or above (including Maths and English) or relevant experience

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
