An exciting opportunity has arisen, to join an established, successful and exciting North West Contractor. They are looking for a Trainee/Assistant level QS with over a years experience looking for that next step up. You will be expected to be highly motivated, have a great work ethic and be focused and flexible to join their growing business in Bolton.

Company Overview

One of the fastest growing companies in the North West, they are a dynamic service provider operating within the residential, industrial, commercial, retail & leisure markets providing valued clients with Multi-Utility services (Gas, Electric and Water).

Specialising in the design, installation and reinstatement of utility services they are forecasted to turnover £35 Million this year and with a project pipeline worth £50 Million look well on course to achieve that.

Duties and Responsibility's:

* Ensure compliance with the clients systems, processes and procedures on Contracts between £ 1mill-£5mill p.a.
* Work within the strict deadlines required under the Contract(s) and as required by the Company.
* Be accountable for delivery of key commercial tasks
* Work independently, with minimal supervision.
* Assist in the preparation of any data required to populate commercial reports including Cost Value Reconciliations and cash flows as directed.
* Exercise full cost control of project(s) in conjunction with the QS / Senior QS as directed.
* Produce monthly and/or weekly cost and value data to support forecasts to completion of the project(s) as directed.
* Be pro-active in identifying the existence of all variations (changes) to the works in conjunction with other project team members.
* Be pro-active in identifying the existence of any "claim" and "extension of time" situations in conjunction with other project team members.
* Ensure that all contemporary records are kept by the project team members for use in supporting claims, extensions of time, and the evaluation of variation.

Qualifications:

* Having or be studying for a Degree qualification (RICS Accredited or equivalent) or RICS Associate

Interpersonal Skills:

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products especially Excel and Word
* Methodical style of working
* Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines
* Strong commercial and financial acumen
