EMBS are in partnership with a leading engineering company who specialises in manufacturing complex precision components for a number of leading customers world wide.

Our client is seeking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong background working within a precision engineering environment.

The purpose of the role is to have direct responsibility for providing Maintenance support to the Operational and Non-operational areas of the business.

The successful applicant will be apart of a team - 2 personnel, 1 being an apprentice to aid and develop knowledge and identify skills shortage of apprentice Maintenance Engineer.

You will also be tasked to manage workload of Business Improvement Engineer and Maintenance apprentice.

Duties will include:

* Oversee all maintenance related programmes within the facility
* Attend weekly daily meetings with Operations/Other as required/defined
* Ensure that schedules that are agreed for Business Improvement plans are followed through
* Regularly contact with Production Manager to ensure Operational needs are met
* To achieve and exceed Budget adherence for Machine Maintenance on a monthly basis
* To achieve and exceed Budget adherence for Site costs
* Monthly Budget adherence for Site requirements (Machines/consumables etc)
* All H & S within own working areas
* Support all Environmental Audits and expedite areas of concern through direct line manager
* Actively involved in RCCA
* Support 5s/lean Manufacturing Tools being utilised within the Business Unit
* Support all site Improvement Projects through to completion
* Ensuring that the Groups health and safety guidelines are followed
* Ensure operational areas remain ISO9000 compliant
* To be a visible Leader driving all projects within set deadlines and have the ability to prioritise own and others daily tasks.

A successful candidate MUST be able to demonstrate:

* Good understanding of Problem solving
* Good understanding of Heidenhain/Fanuc systems
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Leads by example
* To challenge and lead change
* Mechanical and electrical fault finding
* Responds positively and creatively to problems and challenges.
* Inclined to challenge and develop robust systems
* Ability to resolve issues both Hydraulic and Pneumatic

Desirable experience would include:

* Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
* PLC problem solving skills
* 17 th edition Electrical
