We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics for immediate placement in the East of England. The position is available on a full time or part time basis.

Clinical Duties:

* The clinical fellow will work at middle grade (ST3+) level to help the orthopaedic teams in managing both elective and emergency patients.
* They will work alongside Consultants, Foundation doctors, specialty trainees and clinical fellows in managing patients from the time of their admission, throughout their treatment, to the time of their discharge.
* Patients will need to be seen on daily ward rounds. They will also work under Consultant supervision in fracture and elective orthopaedic clinics to provide outpatient care.
* The post holder will work across both sites and will have ample opportunity to gain experience of the full range of Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery.
* There will be provision for elective and fracture clinics as well as designated elective, trauma and fractured neck of femur lists. Duties of the post and working patterns will be the same as those expected of the Speciality Trainee registrars.
* The post holder will be expected to develop their knowledge and clinical skills, keep an up to date portfolio of activity, and participate fully in clinical governance and audit activities.
* The post holder will be required to participate in a 1:13 full shift rota and liaise with the supervising Consultant regarding patient care.
