A vacancy has recently aroused for a large client based in Brighton for a Senior PHP Developer. Within the role you will be working with a number of prestigious companies regarding their learning management system.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
*Monitor and report agreed metrics and KPIs across all Technical Consultants (Client Services)
to the Client Services management team, to ensure commercial targets, client obligations
and role expectations are being fulfilled
*Act as an escalation point for clients, ensuring any questions or concerns are acted upon
efficiently and professionally.
*Act as a primary escalation point for all Technical Consultants (Client Services), to ensure
they and clients are appropriately supported.
*Support and appropriately instruct the Technical Consultants (Client Services) in achieving
their responsibilities and accountabilities as specified in their job descriptions.
*Report all quality issues, including escalations where client satisfaction cannot be achieved
by Technical Consultants (Client Services), working with other internal teams as necessary to
ensure a market-leading service is maintained at all times.
*Line manage agreed Technical Consultants (Client Services), carrying out regular reviews and
ensuring periodic appraisals are completed on time.
*Provide complex programming support to clients and colleagues, as agreed with the
Technical Delivery Manager, ensuring application of best practice at all times.
*Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of software installations,
ensuring they are correctly configured, secured, optimised, and patched at all times.
*Understand and make a proactive contribution towards maintaining and improving in-house
documentation and policies, particularly on Electronic Information Security Management,
Change Management, Disaster Recovery and others as will be agreed.
*Be an active, outspoken part of cross-team collaboration initiatives, helping drive continuous
improvement and technical innovation.
*Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are actioned and resolved as quickly and efficiently
as possible, including timely updating of your tickets and timesheet.
*Communicate to clients and colleagues in a consistent, professional, articulate manner, in a
tone appropriate to their level of technical understanding.
*Ensure a keen focus on self-development, staying abreast of latest software developments
and programming best practice. Communicate knowledge back to the team, as necessary to
ensuring colleagues are continually equipped to deliver a class-leading service.

Person Specification:
*Provision of client-facing, SLA-driven services, in a technical discipline
*People management responsibility
*MySQL and PostgreSQL
*Client-side web languages e.g. HTML/CSS/AJAX/jQuery
*Advanced-level PHP 5+ (we write object oriented, MVC based code but maintain legacy
*procedural code)
*Maintenance of GIT version control
*Customising Moodle and/or Totara Learning Management Systems
