Our client is one of Europe’s leading supplier of automated solutions who supply into the food manufacturing industry. They design, manufacture and sell machines into pre-pack foods, chilled foods, bakeries, confectioners and snack food manufacturers. As well as supplying these products, they also offer Project Management services to deliver a complete turnkey solution.

We are recruiting for a Regional Business Development Manager. This is a career with a forward-thinking, corporate company that will offer you a strong future. Our client will provide a full induction training program to cover all products to a commercial level of understanding; all they ask is that you have strong B2B sales experience from any product sector, whether this be desk-based, telesales or field sales and have the drive, energy & ambition to move forward with the company.

The main focus of this exciting and challenging role is to obtain new business by meeting with key personnel within the food manufacturing industry. Our client has already identified these companies so you don’t need to hit the internet to build your prospect database. This is a home-based role so you will be expected to manage your time effectively and maximise your day. You will be responsible within your geographical area for developing sales of the company products and services, calling prospective customers in person and providing technical information about the machines and their capabilities.

Typical activities include:
• Organising appointments with prospective clients
• Meeting with key personnel – Manufacturing Managers, Chief Engineers
• Identifying the customer needs and recommend solutions
• Providing technical quotations to customers
• Developing and effectively account managing the clients you bring on board
