A lively, friendly team providing media data, planning tools, market insight, news and conferences to the media industry.

Working in a very busy environment, covering a wide range of technical skills, this role will use all of your abilities and experience and build on your knowledge

Mixture of server and network administration coupled with a large amount of internal user desktop support (at least 60% of time)

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work alone as well as part of team essential

Ability to work under pressure is key

Regular evenings and weekends 'on-call' as part of the team (one weekend and weekday evenings in every three)

Experience of working in a small to medium-sized business required

The Role

Via a busy helpdesk you will be part of a small team responsible for the support, maintenance, and development of our external client facing live product server environments and the internal IT structure, including desktop support

You'll :

* Respond to live client facing system generated alerts

* Deliver on planned IT projects

* Build and configure PCs and laptops

* Respond to support tickets

Experience + Skills

Solid experience supporting live business to business IT systems - trouble-shooting and responding to live client facing system generated alerts in a small business environment

Solid experience of Linux Server and Windows Server (including active directory) - deployment, management and administration

Solid Apache 2 or Nginx/php-fpm

MySQL /MSSQL/PostgreSQL administration

Network experience - deployment, maintaince, administration

Solid Internal desktop support experience (linux + windows operating systems), troubleshooting and responding to user requests.

Windows & Linux PC build, configuration, support experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
