Previous experience of supporting or managing projects.
Previous experience of working in a project or change team.
Experience of managing projects with differing technical content (e.g business process improvements, IT projects, or cultural change).

To plan and manage small and large scale projects through to successful completion. The post holder will take responsibility for co-ordinating, facilitating and project managing operational activity, within a project environment to the specified requirements of time, cost and quality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To lead the design, development and roll-out of project plans, ensuring that rapid progress is made within appropriate structures.

2. To ensure clarity of scope, objectives, responsibilities and timescales for projects.

3. To work alongside senior stakeholders in driving initiatives through to successful completion, sometimes making decisions on project direction and outputs, and to monitor and report progress within the project framework.

4. To lead communications for projects, engaging all relevant stakeholders in project development, ensuring they are kept informed of progress.

5. To communicate proactively engage with stakeholders across the business, gaining 'buy in' by using high level influencing, persuading and negotiating skills when managing change.

6. To identify, respond to and resolve any issues on behalf of senior stakeholders, informing the Senior Project Manager and following correct escalation procedures.

7. To ensure that any operational change made as a result of a project is effectively handed over to the business and embedded within the day-to-day operations of the business ensuring the long term success.

8. To identify, manage and monitor risks for projects, minimising exposure to financial, legal and reputational loss.

9. To identify any project interdependencies within the Corporate Operations portfolio.

10. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as required.
