Gatwick, but the business accounts are for Bristol and Heathrow.
Commutable from Redhill, Epsom, Caterham, Dorking, Crawley, Reigate, Bristol, Heathrow, Bath, Slough, Wokingham and Reading
Salary is £55,000

Our client provides ground services for around 224 million passengers and 4.1 million tonnes of cargo a year on behalf of some 700 client-companies in the aviation sector. With its workforce of around 55,000 personnel, they are active at 263 airports in 45 countries on five continents.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Controller to join their team in the Southern Division based in London Gatwick. Reporting to the Divisional Controller, you will provide a professional financial management service to operational management. You will ensure that deadlines are met and that planning, reporting, information are delivered to achieve business targets.

Further to this your aim will be to ensure financial procedures are functioning and are adhered to, keeping abreast of financial standards and legislation. You will produce and interpret financial information, assisting in the production of planning and forecast processes; including budgeting in order to meet requirements. Completing monthly payroll reviews, reconciling balance sheet accounts and collating / inputting monthly journals are also key within this role.

Their Ideal candidate will be qualified or have working experience in a customer focused, multi site, high volumed and low margin business environment. To be successful you will need to be qualified within accountancy and have a good working knowledge of accounting practices. We’re looking for someone that holds good analytical skills; that has the ability to identify project trends and to recommend further action
