We are seeking a self-motivated, catering professional to be responsible for the day-to-day catering operations. To plan, organise and develop the superb food service provision of the restaurant, while meeting customer expectations, food and hygiene standards and financial targets. To deliver a friendly, efficient customer service experience and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all customers (internal and external), with the key aim of retaining and attracting new customers.

Key Responsibilities:
The venue is a small bar and restaurant so the role is hands-on with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the catering operation. The day-to-day routine of the Catering Supervisor is likely to vary greatly but will include:

*  Managing the food provision for the restaurant
*  Fully manage the kitchen function from ordering stock, food prep, creating
menus, cleaning the kitchen after each service to maintaining our 5* food
hygiene certificate.
* Maximising sales and meeting profit and financial expectations
* Planning new promotions and initiatives, and contributing to business
development, utilising the best local and seasonal produce to offer excellent
value
* Planning menus in consultation with the Facilities & Customer Services
Manager
* Supervising and promoting a personal shopping service for food provisions
* Planning and organising functions and events in consultation with the
Facilities & Customer Services Manager
* Ensuring health and safety regulations are strictly observed
* Observing licensing and employment law regulations
* Budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts
* Keeping financial and administrative records
* Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
* Maintaining stock levels and ordering new supplies as required
* Interacting with customers
* Liaising with suppliers and clients
* Assist in the opening, closing and cashing up of the till as required
* Cash handling and front of house duties at times

future of the operation 
* Adhere to all policies and procedures
* A willingness to ensure that tasks are achieved and not left incomplete and
that deadlines are met 
* Carry out any other task reasonably assigned to you

The standard working hours will be flexible, but will cover weekends and evenings, although the working pattern may vary throughout the year in accordance with the needs of the business. Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work overtime where necessary to ensure the Mill is operational at all times but the minimum hours will be 35 a week.
