Job Title: CNC Setter / Operator
Work Location: Banbury
Duration: 6 months
Shift: Double Days (14.5% shift increase)
6-2 and 2-10
Pay Rate: £17.50p/h (umbrella rate)

Job Description Summary:
Operations are searching for a CNC Setter / Operator responsible for completing the 'Production Orders' as quickly and cost effectively as possible. They will ensure the assistant has enough work and used effectively to maximise own through put.

Key Responsibilities:
The work includes all machining operations, machine programming, machine set-up, material preparation etc.
Safe and workman like approach to tasks
Able to Program/Set and Operate the following machines safely and in a timely manner:
* CNC lathes, (Fanuc or Mazatrol Controls)
* CNC milling machines, (Mazatrol Controls)
* Use associated measuring systems
Have the ability to work to production deadlines
Support continuous improvement and ACE deployment through active participation on Lean Events, Workshops and Continuous Improvement activities. Proactively seek to identify opportunities for improvement

Job Holder Requirements:
* Able to write and read CNC programs, including, Mazatrol or Fanuc CNC machine programs
* Able to independently design engineering jigs and fixture to enhance productivity
* Able to perform basic maintenance tasks
* Role requires self-motivation and initiative, as well as being able to motivate others in a professional manner
* Ability to be able to read, understand and follow SOP's (work instructions)
* Good communication skills
* Ability to identify and be able to question sub-standard process/product
* Problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative. (Logical and systematic approach)
* PC Literate
* Must be flexible and willing to learn new skills

Security Clearance:
* As part of the legal requirement to comply with international trade controls, all candidates will be required to successfully complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check including criminal record checks. In addition we will check the identity of all employees against various government denied party lists prior to making a formal offer of employment.

* Adheres to Cardinal rules and relevant site specific safety requirements
* Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of themselves and that of their colleagues, raising hazards and issues to supervision where appropriate
