Credit Controller - Electrical Manufacturer

Mon-Fri 40 hrs per week

£22.5k basic + Bonus

The Company: Major specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, manufactures and supplies products to residential, commercial and industrial markets.

The Role: To identify, assess and reduce any potential financial risk, in order to protect the company from bad debt exposure.


* Ensure that customer debts are kept below stated target levels.
* Actively chase monthly cash targets.
* Work with / meet all necessary parties to resolve debt issues and eliminate bad debts.
* Work with / meet all necessary parties to resolve customer complaints and debit note issues and to develop positive ongoing internal and external customer relations.
* Undertake UK wide travel as required to achieve the above.
* Adhere to strict monthly arrears process.
* Pro-actively support 'month-end' Sales Ledger activities.
* Complete and present regular management reports.
* Make a positive contribution towards department workflow improvements.
* Continue to streamline and align all credit control processes across UK sites.
* Deputise for the Credit Manager when required.
* Abide by the Companies Core Values and Code of Ethics and strive to meet and exceed the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.Person Specification:
* Demonstrate a pro-active approach towards the business.

* Highly experienced in credit control, credit risk and sales ledger.
* Excellent understanding of the legal framework for the collection of debts.
* A practical hands-on approach to problem solving & analytical skills.
* Good face-to-face and written communication skills.
* The ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
* To achieve set objectives and targets.
* The ability to work within multifunctional teams, but also able to work effectively alone.
* Holder of a valid UK driving licence.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word packages
