Blue Light Transport Trainer
Babcock International Group is currently looking to appoint an Experienced Transport Trainer based in Woolwich with the requirement to travel within London to other Babcock training sites.
Babcock is contracted to deliver over 200 different training courses to the London Fire Brigade totalling some 4,000 individual classes each year. Courses are delivered across multiple locations both within London and at specialist venues outside of the M25. Babcock is responsible for the scheduling and supply of trainers, equipment and venues.
Purpose of role is to effectively and professionally deliver the Transport Training programme
Major Tasks and Activities:
Ensure the effective delivery of Transport Training in accordance with the Training Delivery Programme
Complete appropriate competency records and paperwork for LFB staff attending transport training courses
Ensure a safe system of work is maintained throughout effective training delivery
Provide Subject Matter Expertise with regard to future development of Transport training for emergency services.
Key Technical Skills
Comprehensive technical knowledge of Emergency Services Specialist Transport Training
Experience of delivering Blue Light / Emergency response training to Fire or other emergency services
Understanding of the requirements for development and maintenance of trainer competence
Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)
Cat B and C Driving Licence
PTTLS, AET or equivalent teaching qualification
ROSPA Gold Emergency Response Driving Instructor
BTEC Level 3 Police Class 1 Driving Instructor
IOSH Health and Safety
FLT Operator / Instructor
Aerial Operator / Instructor

- Full Time, Permanent (including weekend working)
