One of London’s finest pubs is looking for a General Manager to lead the team as they endeavour to deliver the highest possible service!

This gastro pub in Angel has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It has a Heaven, Earth and Hell theme running throughout; a modern take on a traditional pub, with classy decor and dungeon like toilets. The place is flooded with natural light due to the large windows spanning three walls. Light and dark wood make up the interior and furniture, with splashes of colour here and there.

They take pride in both food and drink, having carefully selected their favourite beers and wines from all over the world to bring to the menu, all from quality producers. Their food menu consists of traditional pub food, however they have a commitment to providing a strong selection of organic, healthy and vegetarian dishes.

As General Manager, you will enforce staffs responsibilities, ensuring they are exceeding customer expectations, uphold all customer communication and reply promptly, create an ambience for your customers using appropriate lighting, music, furnishings and heating, check for silent irritants every morning and evening, ensure all products and equipment are available, stay visible to your customers and staff, especially during busy periods and communicate your customers’ needs with the staff.

You will also manage the shift, guarantee quality of food and drinks, take responsibility for all issues, ensure site complies with health and safety standards, oversee all stock ordering, deliveries and invoices, recruitment, training and staff supervision, set the vision and standards for the site and endeavour to hit financial targets and budgets.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a managerial position in a pub / bar or similar environment, like a restaurant. They will have strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team in order to achieve results. You will need to be flexible – your weekly hours will depend on the needs of the business, but will be around 40-50 hours and include early / late / double shifts and weekend work (your day off each will change depending on rota).

You will receive great company perks, as well as a fantastic bonus! If you are interested in the position, apply here or contact
