This top 20 UK law firm are looking to recruit into their 45-member strong finance team as an Interim Financial Business Analyst, (12-14month fixed term contract) reporting into the Group Accounts team.

The firm is hugely international with 28 offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Situation in brand new, modern offices in London, you will be reporting into the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager working heavily on Excel for modelling and consolidation as well as providing support to non-UK finance personnel.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Produce the month end finance pack;

- Review office P&Ls and ensure that they are prepared in accordance with the firm's accounting policies;

- Review office level commentaries and follow up queries with international finance managers as required

- Produce detailed KPI sheets for all offices ensuring accuracy and consistency;

- Review online KPI "Dashboard" data for consistency with other reported data

- Check integrity and accuracy of reports circulated to partnership

- Produce Firm-wide reporting for Business Support Heads

- Manage firm-wide profit & loss account

- Provide commentary and analysis to management

- Produce the 'Weekly Stats' pack for circulation to the Global Executive Committee

- Assist with global marketing reporting and analysis

- Post journals and assist with opening and linking general ledger codes

- Provide ad hoc general support and assistance to all non-UK finance and non-finance personnel as required

- Develop and innovate management reporting and information

The successful candidate will have a proven track record, with at least 3 years' work experience in a professional services environment (preferably in legal services) in a finance/ accounts capacity; have excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to build rapport quickly with people of all levels and be able to use own initiative and challenge work practices where appropriate.
