Youth Work Assistant (Apprenticeship or Internship)

West London

Salary Between £10,125 and £10,920 pa depending on the route taken

12 month paid Internship (part-time) or Apprenticeship (full-time)

Our client is a charity which supports people affected by ill health, social isolation, low income or unemployment in central and west London. They help over 2000 people each year by:

  • Caring for older people through befriending and social activities

  • Supporting children and young people through inspirational projects and two youth clubs in London (Pimlico and Notting Hill)

  • Helping people into work through volunteering and training

They are currently seeking to recruit a dynamic person for the Octavia Foundation’s Youth Programme. The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people. They will also possess excellent organisational, telephone and IT skills, and be available to work until 9pm on some weekday evenings at their youth clubs. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young people and making a positive difference.

To apply for this role, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK and have a connection to the local area. For instance, you may have lived, worked, studied or volunteered within the boroughs of Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea or Brent. Additionally:

  • To apply for the apprenticeship route of this role you must be aged 18-24, not studying (as at 1st September 2017) and not a graduate/not hold a Level 4 qualification.


  • To apply for the internship route of this role you must be aged 21-27 and be a graduate/hold a Level 4 qualification.
