My client who opened over 20 years ago, has helped thousands of businesses to secure outstanding quotes for all types of business insurance - from public and employers liability insurance to courier insurance, corporate risks insurance and professional indemnity insurance and are now looking for an experienced Pricing Analyst to join the business.

The role

Managing profitability & underwriting performance of the allocated products to deliver target loss ratio and presenting this effectively to capacity providers to maintain existing and secure new facilities. To deliver Gross Written Premium targets on allocated products by maintaining a competitive market position, maximising product risk acceptance and coverage without compromising Underwriting performance, In your role you will communicate with all levels within the company across all departments. And work closely with the Board of Directors to determine the Underwriting strategy and deliver target loss ratio & GWP

Principle Accountabilities

  • Monitor competitor activity and competitive position within market

  • Capacity management and insurer relations

  • Business development

  • Pricing Operations

  • Underwriting

  • Compile ad hoc Management Information within given time constraints

Related Accountabilities

  • Involvement with relationship building with Internal and External Teams
  • Identifying potential areas of improvement within the business and being proactive in offering solutions
  • Analysing department performance and provide proposals of how to improve
  • Liaising with other department to identify and improve working practices
  • Implementing change with Management team
  • Act as value ambassadors, leading by example to influence positive change in the behaviours of team members in line with values-based behavioural guidelines
  • Identify opportunities to provide learning and development support and / or drive development initiatives
  • Raise in a timely manner system issues that affect performance
