They currently have an opportunity for a Construction Manager to join the innovative and agile development team at their head office in Redhill, Surrey. They are looking for someone with a commercial estimating skillset who can ensure the cost effective procurement of development projects. You will lead , manage and coach the delivery team to ensure effective project management of all projects on site to achieve targets.

Within this role your main responsibilities will include identifying suitable procurement routes; scrutinising developer and contractor proposals; identifying risk and agreeing mitigation measures with the Head of Development; and providing value engineering advice to optimise project design and specification proposals at inception, planning and delivery stages. You will also be expected to manage consultants; to continuously improve policies and procedures in relation to design, procurement, specification and project management; and to manage the post completion stages of projects including the resolution of any defects issues.

The successful candidate will have experience of commercial estimation / commercial management work for residential construction including working on residential construction projects for a contractor or developer within the UK. A relevant qualification (RICS, RTPI or CIOB) is essential as is experience of successful value engineering to improve outcomes on residential developments..

You will be a strong people manager who leads by example, is organised and understands the importance of value for money. You will also be a confident communicator who is comfortable when dealing with people at all levels. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
