Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is hiring for a Business Development Manager, focussed on identifying new prospects and building and developing successful relationships, through structured outbound telephone activity.

Responsibilities

* To ensure the brand is seen as a centre of excellence for broker sales support and is the first port of call for intermediaries when dealing with a Specialist case
* To focus outbound telephone sales activity with a defined panel of core brokers
* To engage with new relationships at key stages e.g. new registrations, trade event follow up etc to ensure that the customer understands the brands proposition and if relevant to identify for alternative activity eg Team Meeting
* To use appropriate questioning techniques, carrying out a fact find to establish account background i.e. business volumes and customer base
* To achieve high volume outbound calling, with appropriate follow up if required i.e. e-mail
* To deliver pre-booked sales webinar presentations
* To record Information into the CRM system to plan pro-active calling and record relevant account and contact data to ensure that the relationship is developed and understood across the team
* To accurately record all pro-active broker contact on CRM
* To maintain an accurate account and contact database by utilising CRM
* Proactively recommend changes to product, process and criteria to enhance business proposition based on knowledge gained from broker feedback and competitor information
* To ensure your responsibilities regarding Treating Customers Fairly, the Prevention of Financial Crime (including money laundering, identification and reporting of fraud) are carried out effectively and in accordance with the Company's internal policies
* Notify HR & DRTL of any changes in personal details and be fully conversant with the Departmental DR policy and procedure.

Requirements

* Demonstrates knowledge of main competitors and their service levels/key products and criteria. Uses this information when selling brand proposition
* Possesses a detailed knowledge of the product ranges, able to positively promote the key selling points of the individual products
* Has a detailed knowledge of lending policy and underwriting processes and is able to apply this to new business enquiries
* Is able to display an informed knowledge of market conditions and regulation issues when holding conversations with internal and external customers
