Our client a regional contractor is actively recruiting for 2 x Gas Install engineers and 1 x Gas Service / breakdown engineer to join their organisation in delivering a maintenance programme to a local authority.

Working on a base rate with a very achievable incentive scheme the role will include a van, fuel card, uniform and PDA 


- The post holder will need to be highly technical, multi-disciplined individual – gas (primary), plumbing (parts, components and pipework).
- To accurately fault find and make complex decisions regarding rectification.
- To adhere to the agreed appointment schedule of work, minimise the disruption to the customer and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Oakleaf Commercial Services.
- To manage the workload including organizing materials and plant to carry out repairs and servicing effectively and efficiently.
- Accurately complete and return within agreed time periods, timesheets, weekly datasheets and any additional paperwork as required by the Company and Gas Safe Regulations.
- To ensure all works produced are of a high standard in keeping with the policies of the group
- To carry out duties in a polite and courteous manner being clean & tidy at all times.


- Where appropriate, use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or manual paperwork to record accurate accept/start/finish times, works completed, LGSR, customer satisfaction, and timesheets for all jobs.

Health & Safety

- To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself, the team, Tenants and visitors, undertaking risk assessments as necessary and ensuring compliance with Policy, Procedure and Safe Working Practices.
- To carry out lone working in line with the Company`s Lone Working Policy.
- To ensure that all potential Safeguarding issues on site are reported through the correct channels.
- The post holder will be asked to work in unclean and enclosed environments as part of their day to day role.
- To attend training courses, tool box training as may be required.


- NVQ level 2 & 3, or other recognised qualification.
- CCN1 Core Gas Safety (ACS), CENWAT Gas Safety (ACS), HTR1 Gas Safety Element (ACS), CKR1 Gas Safety Element (ACS).

Desirable but not essential qualifications are as follows:

- MET1 Gas Safety Element (ACS), Boiler Fault Finding (FF1), CPA1 (Flue Gas Analyser), DAH1 Gas Safety Element (ACS)

Evidenced qualification, experience and competence in trade disciplines are essential.
Day to day requirements:

- You will be required to work at any site, within or outside of the Wyre Forest district, as required by the client.
- You will be required to use a company vehicle during your employment. Ensuring that all vehicles, equipment, and plant used are kept in good condition and report any requirements for repair or servicing.
- There will be an expectation of flexibility within working hours to cover colleagues from time to time, to vary start and finish times on occasion.
- The post requires the employee to wear a uniform at all times.

Use, and keep in good condition, all protective clothing and equipment as the situation demands including Oakleaf commercial Services uniform. 

The post holder must carry a photo ID card at all times.
The employee will be expected to work to deadlines and timescales

A full and current UK compliant driving license will be required for this post
