Home Manager - Residential Care Home
Fabulous opportunity for an experienced, quality-focused Home Manager to manage a well-established Residential Care Home in the Walsall area of the West Midlands.
This friendly 21-bed Home, which is run by a small, independent care home group, offers comprehensive residential care services for the elderly, some with dementia, from within a pleasant residential setting close to local amenities.
The successful candidate will assume full accountability for the operational performance of the Home and be expected to develop and maintain excellent relationships with outside agencies and other stakeholders, with a view to consistently achieving excellent occupancy levels as a result.
Furthermore, the post-holder will work in close liaison with the carer team to drive quality standards and maintain recent improvements achieved within the Home, ensuring the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) fundamental standards are consistently adhered to.
Applicants must be experienced Home Managers, ideally with a Registered Managers Award (or equivalent) and significant proven experience of working in a similar role. Experience of successfully liaising with CQC and local authorities and of maintaining high regulatory standards within care home environments is also required.
Outstanding communication, team-working and leadership skills are all essential, whilst applicants should ideally have previous experience of managing within elderly care settings and be commercially aware, proactive individuals, with excellent administration skills.
A competitive annual salary of c. £28k p.a., negotiable depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives, awaits the successful candidate.
