Our client based in Woking, Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Deployment Engineer to join their fantastic, market leading company on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service to around 3000 + business end users supporting hardware builds for new starters, Imaging, deployment of relevant applications onto hardware, upgrades and mobile phone support. This is a very hands on role in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Deployment Engineer:
• Building and set up of laptops and desktops for new users and decommissioning it for leavers (including starter and leaver accounts)
• Deployment of relevant applications and images onto hardware
• Upgrade and migration support throughout the business
• Relevant administration on stock take for end users. Provisioning IT equipment, permissions, and licensing certificates
• Daily contact with the internal customer base within all departments to support and maintain customer’s hardware and software requests
• Capturing customer IT requests, logging them carefully in the support ticketing tool and updating, fulfilling, and resolving them in a timely manner
• When required, assisting the applications or infrastructure team in diagnosing issues (i.e. SCCM)
• Resolution of hardware and software problems through multiple vendors
• To provide Desktop support, predominantly Windows (Win7/ Win 8.1).

Key experience and skills for the Deployment Engineer:
• Excellent customer service skills proven within a busy IT environment
• Ability to take responsibility and ownership of projects and tasks delegated
• Strong Windows 7/10 experience
• Understanding of remote access technologies e.g.. VPN, RDP, VNC
• Strong working knowledge of PC applications including all Microsoft Office products
• Experience in building / rebuilding PC Desktops and laptops
• Experience in building PCs with imaging software
• Telephony troubleshooting experience (Cisco/ Avaya)
• Mobile Telephony troubleshooting (iPhone, iPad, Nokia)
• Basic Network Administration. (IP Config/ NS Lookup)
