Our client, based in central Maidstone, is going through an exciting period of growth and is now looking to add to their team. This role is for a Test Automation Engineer working in the Web scrum team with a focus on testing. The role will be responsible for creating, maintaining and executing test automation frameworks; ensuring service and application releases adhere to quality standards. Execution and Analysis of Load and Performance testing to identify bottlenecks and capacity of the web applications.

You will work closely with Developers and other Automation Engineers in an agile/scrum team to deliver web applications and services into the Pre-Production and Production environments.
You will need to understand business requirements and associated testing levels from internal customers such as Network Operations, other scrum teams, Product Delivery and external customers where required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Act as Test Automation Lead for all Web team projects, ensuring that quality is driven throughout the scrum team and the defined test coverage is achieved
· Responsible for ensuring that automation test plans and reports are created for each sprint\project undertaken by the Web team
· Providing help and guidance to other test engineers in the team on test automation
· Work with business teams to define and document web Load and Performance test strategy
ROLE:
· Create, maintain and execute automated test framework/suites using C#, Selenium WebDriver and SpecFlow
· Create, maintain and execute manual tests where automation is not viable
· Create, maintain and execute load and performance tests
· Analyse load and performance test results to identify bottlenecks and capacity of web applications
· Isolate software problems and produce clear and detailed bug reports
· Verify work items against defined acceptance criterion
· Participate in planning, reviews, retrospectives, and estimations with the Web team
· Provide clear and concise solution improvements for applications and services
· Embracing new technologies and testing techniques to help improve solution quality, security and performance
· Develop expertise in the test environment including, but not limited to, databases, networking and service configurations

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Required
· Experience using source control, programming IDEs and database management tools
· Experience of test automation methodologies, practices and frameworks
· Experience of C#, Selenium WebDriver and SpecFlow, or similar
· Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques especially in an agile environment
· Experience in creating both manual and automated test plans and reports
· Experience in load and performance testing
· 3 or more years’ experience as a test automation engineer
Desirable
· Experience in the payments industry would be advantageous
· Experience in test automation utilising C#, Selenium WebDriver and SpecFlow specifically with Visual Studio
· Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment
· Experience of virtualisation utilising Microsoft Azure, Virtual Machine Manager and Docker
· Practical experience Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager
· Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments
· Degree level education to 2:1 or above in Computer Science or other IT related discipline
· ISEB, ISTQB or iSQI Certified Tester - foundation\foundation agile level or above
WORKING CONDITIONS
The role will primarily be based in the Maidstone office; however, the need may arise to travel and visit other office locations within the UK. Some projects meetings may also be held at customer sites
