This independent, family owned and family run setting with a woodland theme is looking for a new room leader to work in the pre-school room with children aged 3-5 years. They encourage learning inspired by nature and the environment, and are fortunate to boast an extensive garden with a wonderful woodland walk to complement this theme.

They place great emphasis on children's individual learning and development as dictated by the Early Years Foundation Stage and create this through use of innovative, natural resources and custom designed indoor and outdoor natural environments.

In this role your main responsibilities will be:

As a Room Leader you need to be a qualified childcare professional with responsibility for the day to day running of your room
Caring for children aged 3-5 years
Planning and delivering fun and exciting activities
Supervising other staff in your room
Ensuring the nursery is kept clean and tidy throughout the day
Working towards assessing the development of children through observations
Each day you will liaise with the team as well as parents, carers and other professionals to ensure we are meeting the needs of every individual child
You will help the children to learn, grow and develop by writing up reports and linking observations to the EYFS Framework

Requirements of this role:

Qualified candidates must have at least a NVQ3 in childcare or equivalent
Previous room leader experience
Must have relevant child care experience.
Be able to provide at least 1 child care reference.
Relevant knowledge of EYFS England and Wales.
Own transport is essential due to the nursery's location
Eligibility to work in the UK
