THE ROLE
Working as part of the Technical Escalations team, and reporting directly to the Escalations Manager, you will be responsible for investigating a range of technical issues surrounding telephony. Some of the technologies you will be expected to deal with include; VMware, Networking and Mitel.


Liaising directly with a range of customers regarding technical issues, you will diagnose and provide solutions for critical IT issues. You will efficiently identify reoccurring technical faults and pass recommendations to the Escalations Manager.


Main daily duties will include; incident management, resolving technical issues, problem management (root causes of incidents and developing permanent resolutions). You will assist the 2nd Line Team with incident diagnosis and fault resolutions, taking ownership on major system outages. In addition you will fulfil the role of Subject Matter Expert for all assigned technologies (Cisco, VMware and Mitel).


You will participate in Change Management activities to ensure that change requests are fulfilled; as well as participating in Knowledge Base Management to ensure the accuracy and relevance of submitted articles. You will provide comprehensive support and end-user documentation for existing environments, to improve support team knowledge and the end-user experience.


THE EXPERIENCE

Strong experience within telecoms and a fundamental understanding of Networking, VMware, Mitel and Microsoft products is essential. You must show experience of integration skills, working across various departments including; provisioning, first line and customer services.
CCNA or equivalent qualifications are extremely desirable.


THE SALARY
A basic salary of £20k + per annum is available. Financial bonus is awarded for additional training completed with excellent financial and development opportunities available.
