Engineering Manager (Design/ Manufacturing/ SolidWorks)

Fleet, Hampshire

Monday to Friday

Engineering Manager required for a successful design for manufacture brand whose products go into the food manufacturing industry. This is a great role for somebody looking to not be so heavily involved in design and more involved in project and man management!

This role would suit experienced mechanical design engineers from ANY manufacturing industry who are looking to be in a more project management based role. You MUST have a good working knowledge of SolidWorks. You will be managing a team of 9 engineers so good man skills or the desire to lead a large team is essential.

This is a varied role that includes a lot of man management. The team are strong and hardworking however the company are looking for a candidate to come in and improve the processes and procedures of the team. You will get heavily involved in the design and production of the product and manage the team’s projects effectively. You will manage the team to KPIs, help offer solutions and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

The company are an international manufacturer with a range of products that go into the food manufacturing industry. They have on site dedicated product specialists who will give you intensive product training on their range.

The Role:

* A mixture of hands on and hands off man management.
* Motivating and leading a team of 9 engineers to hit KPIs.
* Develop a culture of continuous improvement.
* Process work orders.
* Client Liaison to offer solutions.

The Person:

* Experienced man manager with a focus on improvements and efficiencies.
* Mechanically biased engineer.
* Experienced working with SolidWorks.
* Working knowledge of manufacturing drawings (Tolerences)
