As a result of continuous success from an ongoing programme ensuring strategic growth our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for 2 mechanical field service engineers to join their busy team. Our client has been established for over 25 years and specialise in the design, development and installation of bespoke to modular automation and materials handling solutions, providing a service to the market leading industries, from Pharmaceutical, distribution, recycling, baggage handling, food suppliers, plus many more varied industries across the UK and the rest of the world.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful mechanical field service engineers will essentially demonstrate previous experience within the materials handling systems assembly, installation, commissioning and servicing throughout the UK. You will possess a progressive and positive work ethic, and ''a take the lead attitude'' showing clear visibility of this to senior management. You will have the capability of guiding and training other engineers, and ideally have the aspirations to successfully run a job with no supervision required, plus the ability to assess the job requirement using your own skills and initiative.
As mechanical field service engineers, you will undertake a range of equipment, to include preparation, install and service duties incorporating mechanical engineering work and to conduct both planned, preventative and reactive site visits to maintain client specific equipment. It is essential that you have the capability of meticulously documenting and capturing machine/site information completing in depth written reports from every site visit, feeding back into the business ensuring further opportunities are secured.
Further duties will include the assembly and testing of equipment prior to despatch and following equipment through to installation and commissioning stages at client sites throughout the UK, therefore it is essential that you have a full clean driving licence, a flexible approach and the requirement for overnight stays including occasional weekends.
Working in accordance within an agreed schedule and client requirements, you will conduct operational training of client staff when appropriate. You will be required to carry out the final fit-out and testing of new equipment, including mechanical and basic electrical connection before delivery.
Acting as the primary point of contact with client personnel, you will also conduct regular site visits to establish maintenance requirements and equipment schedules for the future.
