Role: Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £50,000+ DOE plus benefits

Our client are one of the worlds leading engineering brands and are currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to work for one of their specialist divisions. You will be working for a company of over 100 years experience in their field, specialising in advising, designing and delivering engineering solutions either for sale or hire.

Specialising in compressed air solutions, the ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical / electrical background combined with Technical Sales experience in this field of engineering.

You will be responsible for driving the company brand and increasing sales within your defined region, developing a robust sales plan that accurately reflects the need to maximise levels of utilisation, while constantly maintaining a high level of customer service that builds customer retention levels.

You will be required to provide a comprehensive technical demonstration so there is clear customer understanding.

You will be commercially aware of the current market place and all of your competitors, pricing techniques, account planning and stock management.

This is an autonomous role, requiring an ambitious and driven self-starter with strong sales experience and excellent customer service skills who also possesses experience in operations and process knowledge.

2-3 years of engineering technical sales and a background within compressed air is an advantage but not essential.

Must be self-motivated, ambitious, organised, team player with a persuasive and energetic personality.

Excellent communication skills are a must. The ability to speak clearly, confidently and professionally on the telephone as well as the ability to write clearly and succinctly through email communication.

Strong solution selling skill, with great product introduction and passion for the brand & technical problem solving abilities.
