An exciting opportunity has just become available for an experienced Team Manager to manage a specialist CYP therapeutic service across North and West Cumbria.

The successful candidate will be working for a respected national charity who works tirelessly to transform the lives of some of the UK's most vulnerable children. They provide high quality and innovative services and delivery child focus programmes which they are constantly striving to develop and improve.

You will be leading their emotional health and well being services across North and West Cumbria which provide an early intervention service which includes one to one therapeutic support, support to parents and carers and training for professionals.

You will be managing a team of 3 Therapists in North Cumbria and a Senior Therapist in West Cumbria who offer a range of individual therapeutic work for children according to their needs - this therapy can include play, solution focused, counselling, art, drama and CBT

You will be responsible for the operational management of the team which will include appraisals and supervisions, performance management, training and development and recruitment and retention. You will also hold lead responsibility for all safeguarding concerns and will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintain.

You will be raising awareness of the service and its work within the locality to commissioners, external partners and supporters and proactively working to develop and maintain productive working relationships.

The successful candidate will need to have senior, supervisory or managerial level experience and will need to have a relevant counselling/ psychotherapy/ therapy qualification.
