Job Title - National Quality Assurance (QA) & Control Engineer

Our client is a highly successful and forward thinking Waste Management organisation who are looking to hire an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) & Control Engineer to join them as they continue to make a big contribution to improving the UK's resource efficiency. This is a full time and permanent role for an Quality Assurance (QA) & Control Engineer based anywhere in the UK. You will receive a basic salary of up to £45,000, Company Car and attractive benefits package.

The Person

The Successful Quality Assurance (QA) & Control Engineer will have great communication and facilitation skills, together with a keen eye for detail. You will need to have excellent relationship building skills, willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK and the ability to juggle conflicting priorities and manage business critical issues.

You should be confident in your ability with a flexible and adaptable attitude to work, you will strive with your colleagues in the team to provide the maximum availability and efficiency of our clients equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You will have knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 systems, excellent knowledge of Quality Assurance and Control Activities on large process or power projects, the ability to travel regularly through the UK & EU and the ability to juggle conflicting priorities and manage critical business issues.

All Quality Assurance (QA) & Control Engineers in the team have a flexible approach to working patterns.

***A Full Driving Licence is essential to the role***

The Role

This exciting, brand new role will ensure Quality Assurance and Control activities of the Capital Projects and Engineering Group are properly managed and monitored. This includes adequate oversight of the supply chain engaged through Contracts and benchmarking such that continuous improvement is promoted and adopted.

Lead the roll out of Project and Engineering Processes, Procedures and Standards is of course at the heart of the role as a Quality Assurance (QA) & Control Engineer. You will be responsible for providing an independent oversight of the Quality activities of Contractors, Sub-Contractors and suppliers employed by the Capital Projects Group to undertake projects and design activities. This will mean working closely with the Project Managers, initiating and carrying out audits and detailed document review of submitted documents.

You will ensure the Quality of the Works within various projects are in line with the relevant Specifications and Drawings and have the ability to produce audit / inspection reports including weekly and monthly reports to inform senior management of Quality Issues.
