Our client a well established reputable manufacturing organisation requires an experienced Production Engineer who can come on site and hit the ground running.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation who are going through considerable growth, therefore this could lead to other exciting opportunities within the organisation.

The main purpose of a Production Engineer is to develop methods and processes to optimise productivity in all manufacturing areas whilst ensuring safe working conditions and quality practices are enhanced.


Follow and promote the company values
Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures
Identification and eradication of risks by re-engineering processes
Development of key subcontractors in association with the procurement team
Work with all departments to develop continual improvement of core business processes
Undertake patrol inspections of production processes to ensure correct methods are employed
Monitor and inspect product identification and status
Provision of advice and information on production issues
Assist in the development of personnel and skills within the business on engineering and tooling issues
Work with production Supervisors to create optimal production routes
Regularly review planned route times and consider / develop ways of reducing production times

Skills and knowledge

Time served or equivalent in engineering
Excellent working knowledge of fabrication processes
Educated to GCSE Level with relevant Quality related certification
H&S awareness
Risk Assessment
Knowledge of integrated Management Systems
Good knowledge of MS Office
Able to read and interpret complex technical drawings

This is a full time Permanent position working a 37.5 hour week and my client are offering an attractive starting salary of upto £40,000 per annum. Other benefits include pension and 33 days holiday.
