1st Line Support Analyst
Salary - C£20,000 + Benefits

The role
1st line support, taking responsibility for the provision of direct user support in all aspects of information technology, so that the organisation can deliver a quality service to its clients (external and internal).

Key Accountabilities:
* Support the user base by providing quality and timely problem resolution, escalating problems to other team members as required without losing ownership of the problem.
* Maintain the existing call logging system. Work with users to increase the % of user contacts via the call logging system. Work with other members of the IT team to develop the existing call logging system.
* Image workstations for redeployment and install any required software
* Liaise with local office "IT Experts" to ensure they are aware of system related issues and solutions and can disseminate the same to their offices as necessary.
* Work with other team members to provide feedback on support issues to stimulate appropriate training, development and resources to help users resolve their own queries.
* Source, install and maintain all desktop and mobile IT equipment, including phones, mobile phones, laptops etc. together with related peripherals such as printers and copiers ensuring each office has adequate spares at all times to provide immediate replacements. Liaise with local "IT Experts" as required.
* Manage supplier relationships for the provision, maintenance and disposal of such equipment.
* Manage, monitor and develop the budget for such equipment working with the Finance Partner as required and bringing to his attention any exceptions or anticipated material deviations from the budget.
* Management of smaller IT projects
* User account administration within:
* Windows Domain & Exchange Email Systems
* Provide cover and support with monitoring and maintenance of the network and servers.

Key Competencies:
Essential Knowledge
* Microsoft Windows 7 & 8
* Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2
* Active Directory & Exchange user administration
* Microsoft Office 2010, 2013
* Experience of Local & Wide area networking using TCP/IP
* An understanding of setting up and configuring printers (local & networked)
* Providing mainly 1st and some 2nd line remote support

* Ability to recognise when something is urgent from the users perspective and to prioritise appropriately, demonstrating a sense of urgency when required
* Excellent communication skills - including the ability to establish good working relationships with our clients and suppliers
* Commercial awareness
* Full Driving Licence and Car
